NIPOMO FFA

What is up, Nipomo FFA! My name is Isaura Romero Ortiz, and I am so grateful to say that I’ll be serving as your 2026-2027 Chapter Historian! This is my second year in the FFA and my first year in Ag Leadership. One thing I love about the FFA is that it not only allows you to grow as a person but also pushes you to step out of your comfort zone. FFA was introduced to me by my eldest brother, Brayan Romero. Seeing him take advantage of so many amazing opportunities sparked my interest in getting involved. With the encouragement of the people around me, I decided to go after those opportunities, so I’d like to say he has been my greatest inspiration thus far. I also can’t forget my friends and family who have supported me along the way. They always put the biggest smile on my face and make me laugh, even when times are tough. A special thank you to my parents, who have always supported my "crazy" ideas and work hard every day just so I can do the things I love. Last year, I participated in Opening & Closing, Creed,Livestock Judging, and I showed a pig and turkey at the Santa Barbara County Fair. This year, I plan to take full advantage of all the CDEs and LDEs being offered, and you should too! Although my future isn't set in stone, I plan to attend a four-year college, and I look forward to having a great life afterward
