NIPOMO FFA

Michael is a Junior at Nipomo High School and this is his 3rd year in the FFA. Michael began rapidly getting involved in the Freshman year with Opening & Closing, Regional Creed speaking, as well as being elected as Green-hand President in the winter. In the Spring he also attended the State Conference and competed on the Farm Power CDE Team. Then he ended freshman year with being elected as the Chapter Outreach Officer. During his Sophmore year, Michael attended the Chapter Officer Leadership Conference in the fall while also competing on Impromtu Speaking team. From there he got 1st place in Impomptu at the sectional level. As well as competing on the water team, Farm Power team, Parliamentary Procedure, and serving as a State delegate for the 98th State Conference. Currently Michael is serving as the Chapter Vice President, and this year will stay involved in teams such as Extemporaneous speaking, Water Issues team, Parliamentary Procedure, Nominating committee for the 99th State Conference, and running to become a South Cost Regional Officer. Outside of the jacket, Michael continues to be a leader in his community by conducting Farm Tours at Avila Valley Barn, in which he has invested over 1,000 hours into. Michael loves to spend his time at the beach, surfing, playing spike ball with his siblings, hiking, and cliff jumping. A fun fact about Michael is that he has 9 Siblings!
